I need 4 or 5 laptops, for an African mission. They can be older, and need a little work. However, the better they are the more useful, by the middle of May for shipping.  Also, need a hospital bed for a birthing center (the woman are birthing on the floor at this time). Thought maybe you could put the word out to the Waterboyz, and they may be able to help.  Dave Pennington cdmdwgpe@comcast.net

I know you are incredibly busy, but if somehow in that amazing network of yours you hear someone is giving away an electric wheelchair or an electric scooter my Dad really needs one. I got him an electric wheelchair that was used about 5 years ago and it finally died. Due to the age of it, it would be more expensive to fix than get a new one, but I am hoping to find one for him that is being given away. He is using the current one as a walker to get around the apartment, but he won't be able to keep that up long (he has polio and is getting ready to undergo hernia surgery as well as treatment for liver disease). So, please keep your ear out for me and my Dad!

This is information on Camp Jamie - it is a weekend camp set up by Hospice of Frederick County that is held annually to help children ages 6-14 deal with the loss of a loved one. They are usually in short supply of male
volunteers to act as either administrative support during the camp or "Big Buddies" who are paired up with a grieving child for the weekend. The activities they do are fairly deep but they also have a lot of fun and the men will be challenged to see the heart of another in ways they may have not before. I've taken part in one of these camps (and so have others in the group) and I can tell you that some of these kids carry burdens we would not envy, I'd like to ask you to put this event on the Waterboyz radar on an annual basis - they only ask for a weekend of a persons time (Fri - Sun) but it is definitely a calling worthy of a man of God. The website for Hospice of Frederick County is www.Hospiceoffrederickco.com

Camp Jamie 2008 runs from 05/16-05/18 and all volunteer forms (available from the Hospice Website or contact Dan Petty) are due by 04/14. Volunteers must be 18 years or older.
