Painting Information/Follow Up: A few weeks ago a message went out to this distribution about a brother struggling with his painting business due to some tough circumstances. One of the areas he can be helped is to utilize his services which James Veres recently did. James relays the following:
I just wanted to let you know that Sue and I used this painting company recently and found the job to be of very high quality and affordable. The owner and his crew were friendly, and made sure the job was done on time and our main living quarters were put back in the shape they were originally found. I recommend this painting company to anyone that is looking to have work done now or in the near future.
If anybody could use help, please call me at 240-285-6597 cell, 301-845-4271 home or email at jtcrapster@gmail.com

Car needed: Brothers in Christ – We have a request. A young lady who has made a huge turnaround in her life over the past year (going back to school, working two jobs, and more), was recently in a car accident (not her fault). She was told this past Friday by the insurance company that her car has been totaled. Her car was valued at just under $2,000, so finding a viable, safe replacement is problematic. We are NOT asking for contributions, and are more than willing to pay fair market value. We are simply asking to spread the word – if anyone is aware of an older, but safe, roadworthy car for no more than $2,000, please let us know as soon as possible – the rental car provided by the insurance company needs to be returned this Wednesday, November 30th. Please note, she has very little available to get any repairs done to pass inspection. Contact person is Jim Baker – (301) 788-9459 or jimbaker@fpca.net Thanks, and God Bless!

A Letter from Dave Pennington:
Hi All,
This is kind of a special day today, and I saw the oncologist yesterday. It is one yr since my surgery, and as asked often how are you doing? I don't know, and that's not being cute. I don't. One day is real good and the next, It's a feeling of is this the beginning of reoccurrence. We have been told, there is no medical cure. BUT, what I do know is God has Saved me, and He Loves me, and I woke up this morning. He has allowed me to have one more day with my family. I just want to THANK Him for "one more day". And I want to thank all our family and friends that have sent their love, support (offers to help in many ways), and your Prayers on our behalf. I (we) are deeply grateful to you all, and you are an encouragement to us, Thank You.
There is one thing that if I knew how to put it into words I would. You do not know how import my family is to me, (Marcia, Andrew, Cassie, and especially Carissa, and Justin). I'm so THANKFUL to God for one more day with them. They are the joy of my life, and for each day God gives me with them; is a special day for me. As a friend shared, we are all only one breath away from eternity. If God gives just one more day or 4380 more days, I know who holds them.
From the depth of my heart, thank you for your thoughts, love and prayers,
Dave
PS: Marcia is doing well, and given a great prognosis. There is a little issue of fluid retention or build up that has been uncomfortable for her. That they say, could last up to a year. She has been told that she was caught early and that the statistics show about a 5-8% reoccurrence, for the type and stage, but God hold her in His hand, and it will be His call.

A great note: From Dale Parkhurst-At the table last night I while I was listening to Dave give the announcements, I happened to look to my right and this Hispanic family of five came in – the parents with three little children. The mother carried the food to the table and passed each meal out and then I saw something that truly blessed my heart and brought tears to my eyes. The dad had them bow their heads in prayer to offer grace but the beauty was that this man had each little child pray, then he and his wife closed with their prayers and they ate. Wow, it was the most beautiful sight I have ever seen in that restaurant. What an honor God received from that. Amen? Oh how I wished I had done what I wanted to do, which was to walk over to that table and thank the parents for being such godly examples to their children. Maybe the day will come when I will be able to do that, and I vowed to God that should I see that again, I will do just that. I ask that you all keep this family in prayer and that God continues to bless them for they are on the right track. Amen.

Thank you for St. James’ “NEW STEEPLE AND FOR FIXING THE BELL”. Sometimes the St. James family and I wonder how things will get done in the church but God continues to show us “All that we need God will supply because great is God’s faithfulness”. Thank you for hearing the voice of God and heeding to the call to help St. James. I thank God also for those that worked with you on the steeple. I pray that God richly bless your hands and the fruit of your labor. God Bless - Rev. C. Michele Langston (See a photo to right)

Change of Plans: At the request of Taysie Phillips, the originally scheduled picnic commemorating Tom’s death is cancelled. Please read Taysie’s request and let us honor Tom’s memory as she suggests:
As the 30th of July approaches, I have become aware that I really would like to have this second anniversary of Tom's death be observed in contemplation and quiet prayer. Sorry to disappoint any of my beloved Waterboyz or Waterlilyz, but a picnic and a celebration just does not feel right to me now. Please feel free to bring a small token of your remembrance--a Waterboyz shirt? a pebble from your back yard? a note?--and leave it at Tom's gravesite (on 15N: take the first right after my street on Angleburger Road and look for the little red church on the hill, turn right into the cemetery and you will see Tom's grave on the right). If you would like, come by my house and sit on my porch and reminisce for a bit Thank you. Taysie.

He just learned he needs to go back for another surgery next week and is pretty freaked out right now. He needs a haircut so if anyone can come to his house to cut his hair let him now. If you would like to help him out financially do that through the Waterboyz by sending a check noting “Waterboyz help” in the memo area. We will work with Victor on helping out with his bills.
WB Merchandise Team Needed: Looking for someone called to invest 4-6 hours a month of ministry investment until you built a team and then of course it would be less ‘hands on’ and more oversight.
- Warehouse all Waterboyz merchandise (Shirts; Choir shirts; Hats; bumper stickers; Pens) letting point person know when any item falls below the re-order point.
- Notifying point person that we need to order product for a new season (August we need to order Fleeces; hoodys; knit hats and in February we need to make sure we have T-Shirts; Polo Shirts; Baseball hats)
- Handling all on-line, email, and phone requests for WB merchandise from order taking to product delivery to depositing the money
- Ensuring staffing & set up of a ‘store’ at all WB events (Breakfast of Champions-three a year; ADVANCE – once a year; ALL Choir Practices – four times a year; Choir events – two or three times a year; Table Leadership breakfast – six times a year)
- Reporting sales to bookkeeper in a timely manner so we can pay the appropriate sales tax
This would involve building a team to help staff the various Waterboyz activities. Clearly this would require a commitment and attention to detail. Selling Waterboyz merchandise isn’t a profit-making venture – it has at the heart of it a Kingdom-building goal. This is evident because we will give away anything if someone can’t pay for it (we would need to track it just to know where it went). Finally getting this merchandise out into our men allows it to become a marketing tool to expand the invitation into the King’s feast. Auction: On May 27, the Waterpeoplez (Waterboyz and Waterlilyz) will sponsor a Quarter Auction to benefit a Dream Center in India. This event will be open to the public and is a great opportunity for your friends to meet lilyz--and to raise money to give children a hope and a future. At the Dream Center, children will be safe from dangers of poverty and slavery. The Waterlilyz are taking the lead on this project. As an action oriented ministry, we are committed to transforming lives through daily steps of obedience—whether that obedience be prayer, kindness of physical service. In this case, we are going to use our influence and community ties to raise money to change the trajectory of lives. At the same time, we will fellowship.
We need lilyz and boyz to step and help. Everyone has the "job" of getting donated products. (For more on this, see the attached) If you can help with anything, please contact Phyllis Bagdonas (plbagdonas@verizon.net) ASAP.

CONVOY OF HOPE
Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,
I am writing you today, as Site Entertainment Coordinator, to present a wonderful volunteer opportunity to serve our community in The Frederick County Convoy of Hope that will be taking place on June 18, 2011 at the Frederick Fairgrounds.
There will be many opportunities to volunteer for this event; however I am specifically looking for volunteers that are gifted in the area of soliciting donations. As a volunteer you will be given a list of businesses to contact along with a cover letter to present to the businesses requesting donations to be given away at the event. I am asking that you make contact with the businesses as soon as possible, preferably within the first week of receiving the list as we are on a tight schedule. Then approximately a week later follow up with your business contact to arrange your pick up of the donation and report back to either myself or my wife Jackie Detzel with the list of items that are being donated as we will be keeping a spreadsheet of items donated. If you are unable to pick up the donated item please let us know so that we can help make arrangements for you.
The deadline we are looking for are as follows:
04/30/11 - if interested in serving will need to know by this date so that we can prepare your cover letter and lists of businesses to contact. Please reply if you are able to make the 05/07/11 meeting at Monocacy Valley Church.
05/07/11 - Volunteer meeting at Monocacy Valley Church @ 10am for a time of prayer and to receive your volunteer packet. If you are unable to make this meeting then please ensure we have all your contact information, including your email address and the volunteer packet will be emailed to you directly.
06/04/11 - All donations must be accounted for and arrangements can be made to get to the Detzel's.
As always we will accept last minute donations however since we have to coordinate the time during the event to have the given away the more time we have will be greatly appreciated.
Contact:
Brian Detzel- brian.detzel@gmail.com or 240-674-0467
Jackie Detzel- jackie.detzel@gmail.com
Please prayerfully consider this serving opportunity to glorify God in this event. Thank you in advance and God Bless, Brian Detzel

ASKS
Chris and Judi Fox just learned the place they are renting has a bad mold problem - they need to move immediately! If you know of a place in Frederick that is available please let them know ASAP! They need a two bedroom place in the $1500/range. They do have a dog so sometimes that is an issue with finding a place, but she is really well behaved and doesn’t cause any home issues. We are home owners ourselves and just want to find a place that the landlord appreciates us taking good care of their place :) Judi Fox: judiwfox@gmail.com

Damascus HELP: I am the new chairperson of the Damascus HELP Furniture Committee. In going over the paperwork, I have put together a list of outstanding items that have been requested by some of our clients. Dressers and beds are the most often requested items. I’ve broken down the bed requests by numbers of mattresses, box springs and frames. If anyone is able to contribute, they are typically good used items and the donation may be used as a tax deduction. Thank you for any assistance you can provide. (See attachment in this email for specifics) Contact Kay Orr, Damascus HELP Furniture Chairperson at 301-253-4100 or DH20872@aol.com

Grill Available: We have a Coleman propane gas grill that needs a little love (we have the replacement parts but haven't assembled) that we'd love to give to a family who doesn't have one. It would come with a cover and two propane tanks. Don't get me wrong, we're going to use it, but we recognize that we're content with a little charcoal grill we have and are willing / wanting to share. James & Kris Nixon- iamflame@gmail.com

This video conference is a compilation of much of the material the Family Life organization has used at their conferences over the last 30 years or so. The cost will be only $45/couple, which includes Saturday lunch and refreshments throughout the event. Also included are some great interactive projects for the spouses to do between sessions. Participants not only receive some great marital insight, but will have an opportunity to put it into practice. This is like having a Family Life weekend retreat right next door. Don't miss this great opportunity to enhance your marital relationship. The conference will be held at the New Dimension Worship Center at 919-B N. East St. in Frederick, MD. To register, visit www.MarriageFrederick.org or call 301-898-8917. In addition to this great conference we will also be sponsoring a series of FREE Marriage Education classes at the C. Burr Public Library on Saturday afternoon, February 12th. Check our website for the exact classes and times. Due to limited classroom space we would like you to register online or call us so we know the classes you would like to attend. Rev. Polar Bear Plunge 2011-Dave Berg is leading the PLUNGE: Video of last year - http://vimeo.com/7070454 MY Friends !!!, I am writing to ask for your help. On January 29, 2011, I have committed to grin and “bear” it again for the athletes of Special Olympics Maryland by taking a chilly dip into the Chesapeake Bay alongside about 17,000 other warm-hearted people. Average water temp is 34 degrees -- But the hearts & smiles of those kids will help keep me warm. This is my way of giving back. The positive impact this will have on the lives of thousands of children with intellectual disabilities will last a lifetime. I have set a personal fundraising goal, and I need your help to reach it! So no, I’m not asking you to take the Plunge alongside, but instead, I am asking if you will make a donation to Special Olympics Maryland on behalf of me taking the 2010 MSP Plunge. Any amount would be appreciated – it all goes to a wonderful cause, and every little bit gets me that much closer to my goal. I have joined TEAM WATERBOYZ if anyone else wants to join me ????? If you want to learn more about this wacky winter event, visit www.plungemd.com to find out all the chilly details. Think warm thoughts for me at January 30th approaches. - Moving/Packing Help: We ask for prayers for some dear friends who have been going through hard times for quite a while now. They are believers but have been so overwhelmed with all the stress and health issues of the past couple of years that they are overcome with despair -- they clearly need a good dose of Jesus-Hands and Jesus-Love to sustain them. My own physical and time resources have been stretched to the limit lately, so I am calling on the powerful resources of our Christian community to ask for prayers and possible physical help with this family's impending move. Both Vicki and Luis are in their 60's and have health problems that require expensive maintenance medication. Luis lost his job last year and has been unsuccessful in finding another. They were able to get by with continuation of health coverage for a few months, but that has now run out and they are relying on their limited social security income only, with no health benefits. Thus, they are forced to leave Maryland and move into a small apartment in North Carolina to make ends meet. They will desperately need help with clearing out their house, packing and loading their belongings to be out of their rental home by January 31st. If you know of anyone who might have time and physical resources to help these dear people during this scary and stressful time, please let me know. Please pray for discernment and peace in knowing that they are in His Hands. For a smooth move and transition into a new place where they don't know anyone. If anyone is able to help, contact Donate Gardner at joifulnoises@yahoo.com

From WACMM: Can you help get out the word on a prayer rally and prayer walk in Germantown this weekend 1/22-23 (see LifeNews.com article). Here are the details on two events that we need to get out the word and encourage Christians to participate
- Prayer Rally For Life Saturday, January 22nd, 7:00 p.m. (Roe vs. Wade anniversary), (National Pro-life Speakers) Neelsville Presbyterian Church, 20701 Frederick Rd., Germantown, MD 20876
http://jan22prayerrally.eventbrite.com/
- Prayer Walk For Life Sunday, January 23rd, 2:00-3:00 p.m. (Sanctity of Human Life Sunday) 13233 Executive Park Terrace, Germantown, MD 20874 (Same meeting place as last time – park behind Bed, Bath, & Beyond) http://jan23prayerwalk.eventbrite.com/
If it is possible, I would like to request you to invite some representatives of your churches or Waterboyz to come to the rally and meet with other local pastors and pray for this evil to be lifted from our community. Or just come yourself. I will introduce you to Pastor Baile (Shady Grove PCA) who has been calling for a peaceful but forceful Christian response. If you or any of your Pastors would like to call and talk with Pastor Baile, you can reach him by email (charliebaile@comcast.net) or at the church directly: (301) 330-4326. These two events are just the start of a long-term campaign. If this weekend is too difficult, there will be regular pastor lunches to share news and plan actions. Blessings, Paul Schomburg.

2nd Chances Garage (http://www.secondchancesgarage.org/) is a nonprofit (I believe they have their 501(c)3 status) vehicle repair shop in Frederick who does repairs at cost for parts only (no mark-up and labor is free) to those who can't afford a standard repair bill. (They offer this service and a few others as noted on their site to those in serious need due to a life altering situation like a lay-off, etc.) Here's the ask...
- Volunteers with little to a great deal of experience. (They are in desperate need for more volunteers to work on vehicles.)
- Donations of vehicle(s) for a tax write-off.
- Financial donations of any size.
- Other donations they are seeking are a large (25K BTU) window-type A/C for office, hand tools, air tools and floor jack.
- If you are able to help, need a vehicle or repair, please call Rick at 240.724.1919.
Thanks,
Chris Miller

ASKS
· Car Needed: A young single mother trying to support a 4 year old is in desperate need of a car. If you have a car to donate please contact Jeff Beatty at 301 642 3393. Will fix up if needs work.
· Another Car Needed: Boyz, I have a major "ask" - there is a young lady who has been working from a disability (Aspergers Syndrome - a form of Autism) that has come to the realization that she CAN take charge of her life. She's currently residing with a family in Boonsboro that has been mentoring her and has helped her understand that she can achieve Gods plan for her. There's only one major hitch - she needs reliable transportation to and from Hagerstown Community College to take classes for her GED and a 90 hour child care certificate. Unfortunately her family isn't in a position to purchase a car at this time - at least not "market price". If anyone knows of a free, or VERY inexpensive vehicle, as long as it's an automatic transmission and safe (passes inspection), it would make a critical difference in her ability to step forward and take charge of her life (with God's help of course!). Her first class is January 11th, so this is definitely a big ask - but our God is a big God, and we know that with Him, ALL things are possible. So if someone knows of a workable vehicle, please call Jim Baker at 301-788-9459. Thanks, and God Bless!
· Looking for a rental: My minister, Les Stano, of Lutheran Church of the Cross, sent out this request, which is more than just a prayer request for one of our families. We have a LCC family that has been notified that the home they are renting in the Damascus area is in foreclosure and they may have to move in thirty days. The current rent is around $1000, which through the gracious generosity of the current owner was allowed to be paid twice monthly because the current biweekly pay is around $750. Unfortunately, this means that when it comes time to looking for another unit they will not be considered a good credit risk. They would like to stay in Montgomery County but may even consider Frederick County. They need a three bedroom unit because of two children. Also the woman is looking for employment as an auto mechanic in either a dealership or auto shop. If you can help or know of someone who could provide help / directions for this LCC family, please contact Pastor Stano ASAP either through email at LessP@aol.com or on his cell phone at 301-806-1726. Please keep them in your daily prayers.

- Brothers and Sisters, I am sending this email to you because of your heart and because I believe you know my heart.. I have an "ask" that I pray that you will consider. You may be aware of how God has touched my heart for the children of McDowell County West Virginia and how I have been networking with people to help show His love to the children there. I have for you a simple way you can change a life of a child there. I have recently spoken to Derinda Hess who runs the Restart Center and she has expressed an idea for a Christmas gift for the children she ministers to. Recently they were given a Wii system but only have the basic games that come with it. I have purchased the Wii fit and will be sending it down to them. I am asking you to buy a kid friendly Wii game and send it to them as well. My heart tells me that these games will bring children who are lost and spiritually dead into the doors of this ministry where they will find life in Christ. How much is the salvation of a child worth? Has God given you the resources to be a blessing to His children in need? Will you be a part of this? If yes...here's how Buy a kid friendly Wii game or get a used game (used is OK) and mail it to Derinda Hess The Restart Center PO Box 82 Pageton, WVA 24871 If you want to make it easy order online and have it shipped there. If you would like to contact Derinda at the Restart Center, here's how Derinda Hess 304-277-7202/304-383-4384 http://www.restartcenter.org/1.html You may not think that what you have can make a difference but just like bread and fish; our resources, when surrendered to God will be blessed in order that they may glorify the one who does immeasurable more than we can ask or imagine. Thank you for taking the time to read this and pray about what He is asking you to do. Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions. For Him, Dave Kull c-240-601-5296

Radio Broadcast: Listen to a great testimony. Adam Avery has dedicated his next radio show to his Best Friend, who did suddenly this past week at the age of 36. Adam talks about the cause on the show. It was taped on Tuesday. There is a great testimony from a man who attends Celebrate Recovery at Redeemer Lutheran and a couple of Waterboyz tables. It is an awesome testimony. He was on the verge of ending his life two months ago and talks about all of the miracles in his testimony. CR and Waterboyz are mentioned in the show. It is a God filled, blessed hour. I cried when I heard his testimony again. Peace Brother! Steve

I have a friend named Rocio who is in great need of a part or full time job. She is going through an unpleasant divorce and custody battle and is on her own right now. Unfortunately she will also be homeless soon, as she gets no support from her husband, so she is also in need of a room to live in free of charge until she gets the job. Or, she needs a job with a room included. I have attached her resume. She is willing to do most anything, but has a college degree and is fluent in Spanish and French.
She is presently living in Germantown and would like to find something in this area if possible. If you know of anything, please let me know and also send information to her at: ralbu81@hotmail.com
In His Love,
Joanne Wilson.

Water Ministry Leaders,
HOW GREAT IS OUR GOD!!!!!
My song for the week (God seems to make sure that I hear it whenever I am in the car) has a chorus that says "All of creation, sing with me now, lift of your voice and lay your burdens down." Even if we did not lift Him up, the rocks and trees would cry out!
