About the event
Trek #2 will be a 22 mile canoe trip down the Potomac. We will start in Paw Paw, West Virginia on Friday night, camping along the river. Saturday morning put in and paddle about 12 miles to Bonds Landing, where we pull out and camp along the river. Sunday morning put in and paddle the last 10 miles to Little Orleans, MD.
All gear will be stowed in the canoes while we float. Bring fishing rods! This section of the Potomac has some of the best smallmouth bass fishing in the country, and fall is an amazing time to fish. It is also possible to see river otters, black bear, whitetail deer, gray fox, and bald eagles.
